We were recommended to HWS by our architect who said he (David Whittle) was one of the best builders he has had the pleasure of working with. We took his advice and we're so please we did! They certainly are as good as we'd heard. exceeding our expectations and transforming our old, dated, damp house into something stunning.

We are both doctors and have four children so lead busy lives and were initially very apprehensive and overwhelmed by the process of undergoing a big house renovation. We needn't of worried as they have been fantastic. David has organised everything giving us regular updates on progress and working around us. The team of tradesmen are very professional, punctual, clean, considerate and friendly. They have plumbers, electricians and painters all to hand. They even came with their own kettle, cups drinks and portaloo! Always arriving with a smile. They work tirelessly and always tidy up at the end of the day. They work with dedication and enthusiasm and we cannot fault them on their work. David has project managed our project and has been wonderful to work with. He has great vision and his experience and expertise is evident. He has even come up with new suggestions for the project and goes that extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Yesterday i came back to find he had stonewashed the patio and cleared the drains and gutters! He'd gone that extra mile. The work has been to an exceptionally high standard. It has been a joy and privilege to have them working in our house and would certainly not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We are more than happy to speak to anyone interested or if they want to see their work.

We also have to mention the wonderful Joan who is david's receptionist who is always such a pleasure to speak to on the phone and so helpful.

Our present home is a Stone Barn conversion, which we bought from HWS Ltd. in 2011.

The conversion was carried out to the highest standard, using traditional methods and high quality materials in sympathy with the building. The company specialise in stone built property and have an expertise and knowledge which is rare in the building trade today.

Our experience with this company has been pleasant throughout.  The staff are professional and courteous and our home was delivered on time.
